  1. Nothing like enabling terrorists, eh Dems?

“Warren, Sanders Hosting Call With Pro-Tehran Lobby Group”

“Democratic presidential contenders Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) are slated to host a conference call with an Iranian-American advocacy group that has been accused of lobbying on Tehran’s behalf.

Along with Reps. Ro Khanna (D., Calif.) and Barbara Lee (D., Calif.), Sanders and Warren are scheduled to speak Wednesday evening with members of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC). The group played a central role in what former Obama national security adviser Ben Rhodes called the administration’s pro-Iran Deal “echo chamber,” spinning journalists, lawmakers, and citizens.

The Democratic candidates’ willingness to engage with NIAC—a group that aggressively pushed the accord and has strongly advocated against U.S. sanctions on the Islamic Republic—reflects their desire to see America reenter the nuclear deal, which released up to $150 billion in cash to the regime. Much of that money has gone to fund Iran’s regional terror operations, including recent attacks on American personnel stationed in the region.

NIAC has deep ties to Iran’s regime, including senior officials like Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. Zarif worked closely with NIAC founder Trita Parsi, who, in turn, consulted with the Obama administration.

Parsi lobbied Congress against sanctions on Iran in 2013 and met with Obama administration officials at the White House dozens of times leading up to the nuclear deal’s signing in 2015. Multiple U.S. officials and senior congressional sources informed the Washington Free Beacon that Parsi helped the White House craft its messaging as it tried to sell the nuclear deal to the public. The NIAC chief met with Rhodes, among other top officials, during multiple visits throughout the Obama era.

Rhodes delivered a keynote speech at the 2016 NIAC leadership conference.”

  2. The media is rushing to defend the Obama admins many Iranian failures.

“Liberal Media Freaks Out Over Trump Blaming Obama Admin for Funding Iranian Aggression

Trump: “The missiles fired last night at us and our allies were paid for with the funds made available by the last administration.””

“On Tuesday, President Trump addressed the nation concerning the strike on Iranian terror master Qassem Soleimani and Iran’s thus far toothless retaliation.

During his remarks, the president noted that “the missiles fired last night at us and our allies were paid for with the funds made available by the last administration.” Naturally, the media is outraged over this factual observation about the Obama administration.

Here are some of the headlines:

CNN: “Fact check: Trump repeats exaggeration about Obama and the Iran deal”
The Hill: “Trump rips Obama’s Iran policy in address to nation”
WaPo: “As Trump claims a win on Iran, he accuses Obama of funding its attacks”

Not content with this article, WaPo also has another one opining on “five takeaways from Trump’s garbled speech on Iran.” One of the five is, predictably, that “Trump is still obsessed with Barack Obama.”

MSNBC even trotted out Obama lackey Susan Rice to express her outrage: “Susan Rice: Trump’s ‘despicable lies’ about Obama show his ‘extreme weakness and insecurity’.”

“Iran Refusing to Hand Over Black Box From Crashed Ukrainian Airplane

Iran Civil Aviation Organization head Ali Abedzadeh declared Iran “will not give the black boxes to the manufacturer (Boeing) and the Americans.”

“A Ukrainian International Airlines Boeing 737 airplane crashed near Tehran’s airport on Tuesday after Iran attacked two Iraqi military bases housing the U.S. military.

While some called the crash a coincidence, suspicions have deepened since Iran refuses to hand over the black box.”

“Rescue teams recovered the black boxes on Wednesday morning. Iran Civil Aviation Organization head Ali Abedzadeh declared Iran “will not give the black boxes to the manufacturer (Boeing) and the Americans.”

Boeing added more doubt to the initial reports by stating “the plane was relatively new, in good condition, and had an experienced crew.”

“Humoring a Demon: Top six ways Democrats coddled Soleimani”

“If you want to know why Democrats are so hell-bent on condemning President Trump’s wipe-out of Iran’s Number Two, Qassem Soleimani, maybe a look at their record with this guy can tell some of the story.

This demon (as Mancow so flawlessly characterized him) was a powerful guy in hellhole Iran, and he extended his brutality well beyond Iran’s borders. He was responsible for the killings of hundreds of Americans in Iraq and beyond. He amassed his power because under the Obama administration, favors were done in a way that enabled him to rise as Iran’s Quds Force commander, racking up victory after victory at our expense. Democrats helped him a lot in his revolting journey, dating from the genesis of the Ben Rhodes–Barack Obama Iran deal.

Here’s a list of the top six things the Democrats did to enable him to get as powerful and depraved in his activity as he did:

    6. Travel: This guy was under U.S. and U.N. sanctions, and nominally forbidden to travel anywhere, yet he traveled anywhere he wanted to go with abandon. Flying commercial, he used planes full of unwitting people he was onboard with as human shields to deter rocket attacks, but he still had no trouble getting onboard. And according to the Washington Post, that was useful, indeed:

Such travel, however, has been a mainstay of Soleimani’s work for decades as the leader of Iran’s Quds Force, a special squad focused on overseas operations, among other intelligence missions, as part of the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Sanctions were nonsense, U.N. or U.S., because with Democrats in power, nobody was stopping him. He got used to the routine before President Trump got finished with him.

    5. Impunity. As American Thinker contributor Dan Sobieski notes today, Soleimani attempted to bomb Washington and its elites in a plot to murder the Saudi ambassador in Washington in 2011. The idea was to blow up a restaurant full of people. Sobieski writes:

Think about this for a moment. Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, Eric Holder was attorney general, and Robert Mueller was FBI director when Iranian general and Quds Force commander Soleimani oversaw the planning of a terrorist attack on American soil that could have killed hundreds of Americans including some of the Washington elites.

No consequences whatsoever to him — the Democrats were so hell-bent on ensuring that the Iran deal went through that the little issue of him trying to kill us went without notice. And it was hardly his only attempt to kill Americans.

    4. Free cities: As American Thinker columnist Clarice Feldman noted Sunday, the Obama administration allowed Soleimani to take Tikrit in 2015. Citing an article by Lee Smith, here are the deets:

Obama made his preference for Iran and its allies clear — in Lebanon, Syria, and most obviously in Iraq where the White House ordered air strikes on ISIS positions that allowed various Iranian-backed outfits, under the leadership of Qassem Suleimani, to take Tikrit.”

  6. They’re siding with a man who would see them all dead had he gotten the chance.

    https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2020/01/dems_forget_soleimanis_plot_to_bomb_washington.html

“Dems Forget Soleimani’s Plot to Bomb Washington”

“One could conceivably hold House Speaker Nancy Pelosi responsible for the death-by-drone of Qassem Soleimani for she rushed impeachment of President Trump on the grounds we could not let him occupy the White House for even one more day lest our erratic commander-in-chief do something irrational. Then she unconstitutionally withheld the two cotton-candy Articles of Impeachment from delivery to the Senate for trial. Guess you waited too long, Nancy.

The killing of Soleimani was of course quite rational and quite ironic, as the Iranian general supposedly banned from international travel traveled the road from Baghdad International Airport on a road that has seen the deaths some of the 600 Americans killed by the explosively-formed-penetrators his forces supplied to Iraqi militias, not to mention the thousands maimed by them.

Perhaps President Trump should invite some of the families of the soldiers Soleimani murdered and some of the wounded warriors he maimed so Pelosi could look up at them and see why the killing of enemy combatant Soleimani in a war zone as he plotted to turn our embassy in Baghdad into another hostage crisis or worse, another Benghazi, was justified.

Of course, one could also speculate that Speaker Pelosi and a few of those Democrats calling the killing of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force, a war crime might not be alive today if Iran’s most “revered” general had carried out his plot to bomb a Washington D.C. restaurant full of Americans in a plot to assassinate the Saudi Ambassador to the United States. As NBC News reported on October 10, 2011:

Two men, including a member of Iran’s special foreign actions unit known as the Quds Force, were charged in New York federal court with conspiring to kill the Saudi diplomat, Adel Al-Jubeir. Justice Department officials say the men tried to hire a purported member of a Mexican drug cartel to carry out the assassination with a bomb attack while Al-Jubeir dined at his favorite restaurant…”

    ———-

“Think about this for a moment. Yet they plowed ahead on the Iranian nuclear deal sellout, were part of an administration that financed Iran’s terrorist ambitions with $150 billion, including a billion and a half in cash dropped on an Iranian tarmac in the middle of the night, then participated in a coup for regime change, not in Tehran, but in Washington, D.C.

As Bill Roggio, writing in the Long War Journal of October 13, 2011, reported:

The commanding general of Iran’s Qods Force, the special operations branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, has been accused by the US government of being involved in the recently disclosed plot to kill the Saudi ambassador on US soil.

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani “oversees the IRGC-QF [Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps-Qods Force] officers who were involved in this plot,” the US Treasury Department stated in yesterday’s terrorism designation that identified four other Qods Force officers involved in the plot. …

The other men named in the designation include Hamed Abdullahi, “a senior IRGC-QF officer who coordinated aspects of this operation”; Abdul Reza Shahlai, Abdullahi’s deputy, “who coordinated the plot” and undertook “to carry out follow-on attacks against other countries’ interests inside the United States and in another country”; and Ali Gholam Shakuri, Shahlai’s deputy, who met with and provided money to Manssor Arbabsiar, the man assigned to direct the attacks. Arbabsiar himself, who is Shahlai’s cousin, was also named in the designation and identified by Treasury as being a Qods Force officer. Only Arbabsiar and Shakuri were indicted by the US Justice Dept., however, for their roles in the plot to carry out attacks in the US. Arbabsiar is currently in US custody.

While exact details of Soleimani’s role in the terror plot have not been disclosed, the Justice Dept. indictment said Shakuri had informed Arbabsiar that Soleimani was aware of the plot and supported it. Shakuri had also told Arbabsiar that Soleimani was willing to meet with him.

While some Iran analysts have speculated that the plot to kill the Saudi ambassador and conduct other attacks may be “a rogue operation launched by zealots within the group,” as reported by The New York Times, Soleimani’s involvement makes this theory highly unlikely. Soleimani is one of the most powerful IRGC generals in the country; he reports directly to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader. Khamenei, in turn, has ordered Soleimani to direct Iran’s operations against the US in Afghanistan and Iraq.

And he was not reluctant to kill Americans on American soil. Soleimani was the war criminal here and he died the way he killed hundreds of Ameica’s young warriors — without mercy.”

“In another image he has his arm round Epstein’s personal masseuse and sex slave Chauntae Davies – who had been ordered to wear a ‘pilot’ shirt to look professional.

Other never-seen-before images show Clinton traveling on the infamous Boeing 727 jet while playing cards and chomping on a cigar.

Now, for the first time, Chauntae Davies has revealed the extraordinary details of Clinton’s long distance flight to Africa with Maxwell and a number of other celebrities.

The star-studded group – which included actors Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker – visited Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, Mozambique, Johannesburg and Cape Town in a five-day humanitarian trip.

There is no suggestion Clinton, Spacey, 60, or Tucker, 48, did anything wrong during the tour, or knew of Maxwell’s alleged activities on Epstein’s behalf, or the abuse Chauntae suffered at his hands.

However, it will further raise concerns about how some of the world’s most famous and powerful people were drawn into Epstein’s circle at a time when he was committing horrific sex crimes.”

  10. Chas, Iran Air Flight 655 was ascending on a 30min flight to Dubai and was on course – it was the U.S.S. Vincennes that was off course in Iranian waters when it fired the missile, something even the Navy now admits: https://www.navytimes.com/flashpoints/2018/07/03/30-years-later-us-downing-of-iran-flight-haunts-relations/

Our Prime Minister has confirmed there is a high likelihood the Ukranian Airlines Flight PS7562, carrying 63 Canadians and 138 passengers headed for Canada, was downed by missiles (https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/ukraine-missile-iran-1.5420736). There is a weird mirroring in this latest downed airline by missile disaster in how it brings up the spectre of not only Iran Air Flight 655, but also, in the fact this was a Ukrainian Airlines flight, of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, downed, once again by missile, over Eastern Ukraine.

Canada has not had diplomatic relations with Iran since 2012, when it expelled Iranian diplomats and already has a long list of economic sanctions it has enacted against Iran, so relations could hardly be more fractured between the Canada and Iran than they already are. Nobody wants the PM to get all hawkish over this, as it would be stupid to start a war over a tragic mistake. 18. No one is suggesting all out war. Not Trump, or the US military. What was done was a single act, an appropriate response to a terrorist who killed hundreds of Americans. There was no retaliation after Iran’s missile attack last night, nor will there be.

It’s false to act like it’s do nothing or all out war, as if those are the only options. And it’s also a fact that Iran can’t fight a war for long, or very well, as last night shows clearly, nor do they wish to.

Allowing Iran to skate for killing those passengers is a mistake, the kind that emboldens them. The see it as cowardice and weakness. A response is necessary. They know now the US is off limits, or consequences will come for them.

While it’s not necessary now, further emboldening and ignoring their atrocities could lead to it being so later.
