Prayer Requests 7-11-19

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 130

Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
Lord, hear my voice.
   Let your ears be attentive
    to my cry for mercy.

If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
    Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.

Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption.
He himself will redeem Israel
    from all their sins.

  1. Most of those who are leaving have already left. Now we are welcoming back many from furlough. Someone told me today that I am going to have a new neighbor. We have a new teacher who has just graduated from college who will arrive tomorrow. She will be my neighbor and will teach grade 3..

  2. We had a couple we mentored 20 years ago over for dinner last night with their three daughters under ten and our local kids.

W & N are moving from WA–where they lived near her non-Believing parents–to LA so he can attend seminary. Parents are very hurt, angry and bitter their three granddaughters are moving away, even for only three years. W does not have a job to support his home-schooling family while in school; they’re moving on faith.

Please pray a job opens for W, that his seminary studies go well, and N’s parents will not use this as yet another strike against Christianity. They have NOT liked their daughter becoming a Christian and changing her life 20+ years ago.

This is another challenge to all the relationships and they place the blame on Jesus and W.

Thanks. The price of the Gospel has been high for N, but she clings to it.

  3. Some things have happened recently that has me extremely unsettled and unsure of the future. The die has been cast I suppose so there is nothing I can do to change it now.
I have been happy here for two years. That seems to be my limit.
