Prayer Requests 6-22-19

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 119:137-144

צ Tsadhe

137 You are righteous, Lord,
    and your laws are right.
138 The statutes you have laid down are righteous;
    they are fully trustworthy.
139 My zeal wears me out,
    for my enemies ignore your words.
140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested,
    and your servant loves them.
141 Though I am lowly and despised,
    I do not forget your precepts.
142 Your righteousness is everlasting
    and your law is true.
143 Trouble and distress have come upon me,
    but your commands give me delight.
144 Your statutes are always righteous;
    give me understanding that I may live.

  1. Please pray for Miguel as he takes his final exam for the EMT class he has been taking. He missed the first test due to his mom being in the hospital with a broken leg from a fall. Please pray that his memory would be good and that he can pull the information needed and that he doesn’t forget any steps in the practical portion.

  2. Prayer for my exhaustion level, dealing with twenty two has not been easy. She continues to line up the whoppers and is starting to try to worm her way into authority over the younger ones. I had warned her against that. She is not their mom. Always been a problem for her. Husband has been ready to send her out on her ear. So prayers for all of us.

    It did not help that the Navy gave Peter Pan his sign up bonus. That should not have happened until he produced a diploma. I don’t believe he will even bother with the youth academy. More prayer.

  3. A praise from former regular Tammy:

    “Earlier this school year, Kurt developed a swelling on one side of his neck in his lymph nodes. It was quite noticeable to me. So, he went to the doctor. The doctor ran all sorts of tests, and found nothing wrong (other than the hugely swollen lymph nodes, of course!) The doctor sent him to a specialist. The specialist did a test where he was certain that it would come back as cancer. It didn’t.

    So, because this previous test was not definitive, he did a very invasive biopsy (because the specialist was SURE it was cancer. He was sure.) It cost us a lot of money, but that is neither here nor there.

    In the meantime, we prayed for Kurt.

    And, what do you know? No cancer. In fact, after the swelling from the surgery went down, there was no more swelling at all, and there seemed to be nothing wrong with Kurt.

    Now, I know that things can swell for some unknown cause. I know that specialists can be wrong. I know all of that.

    But, WE believe that God healed Kurt. We know that in our deepest parts. (And, the specialist was baffled.) We’ve had other healings in our family history (especially in mine), and we believe that this is what happened here. We are profoundly grateful.

    Since then, Kurt was hired at Apple (his dream job), and God has blessed us mightily. We don’t deserve it. We know that bad things can and will happen in the future (that’s part of life and the salvific process of theosis).

    But, we want to say that we are deeply grateful to Him. Glory be to God in all things!’

  4. Hopefully, I was given false information as the bonus is not supposed to hit the recruit until he graduates boot camp and the first training school. I am fine with it then.

  5. Chas, I have not spoken with him or seen him in weeks but I understand he has a delayed enlistment with the National Guard. He is supposed to go to the Idaho Youth Challenge, a school for dropouts and near dropouts and others messing up their academic opportunity. He will attend that for five and a half months, hopefully earn a diploma. If he does, he enters the NG and goes to boot camp in January. If not, he receives a general discharge and encouraged to go get a life. His NG recruiter is planning to be his mentor, or encourager. They are required to have one. He will write to him and attend the mentor functions and work days with him.

  6. Nightingale went out later than usual, even though she had been saying that she and The Boy had to get to bed early since they have to get up early to start on their trip. I didn’t realize she had gone until he came down to tell me she’s been gone for a while.

    She may have told me before she left, but my hearing aids were out, and I only heard part of what she said, and thought that was the whole thing. We are a little worried. We’ve both texted her, with no replies.

    On one hand, I’m sure there must be a reasonable explanation. But on the other hand, I’m a mother. . .
