  1. Here’s an update to a story I posted a couple weeks ago about Google aiding China’s military while refusing to aid ours. Turns out, it’s even more questionable than thought. It’s time to end such un-American collaborations.

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/google-snubbed-the-pentagonbut-not-the-chinese-military?ref=scroll

“U.S. Must Put a Ban on Google Helping China Develop a Global Digital Dictatorship

Google’s decision to help China is paving the way for Beijing’s ‘digital dictatorship.’ Ultimately, Washington must make a political decision to criminalize such collaboration.”

“General Joseph Dunford, America’s top military officer, has announced he will be meeting with Google representatives this week to talk about the company’s assistance to China’s People’s Liberation Army.

Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, first stoked the controversy over Google on March 14 during his appearance before the Senate Armed Services Committee. “The work that Google is doing in China is indirectly benefiting the Chinese military,” he said.

“We watch with great concern when industry partners work in China knowing that there is that indirect benefit,” he added later. “Frankly, ‘indirect’ maybe not be a full characterization of the way it really is. It’s more of a direct benefit to the Chinese military.”

Google issued a firm denial in response to Dunford’s comments. “We are not working with the Chinese military,” a spokesperson said. “We are working with the U.S. government, including the Department of Defense, in many areas including cybersecurity, recruiting and healthcare.”

But Dunford is correct. The denial, even if technically accurate, is nonetheless misleading. Google maintains arrangements that it either knows or should know directly benefit the Chinese military.

For instance, in December 2017 the company announced the formation of the Google AI China Center in Beijing.

Due to Chinese ruler Xi Jinping’s announced policy of “civil-military fusion,” there is no longer any meaningful distinction between civil and military research, especially in areas like AI that Xi has determined China must dominate. As Bob Work, once U.S. deputy defense secretary, said of the new facility in the Chinese capital, “Anything that’s going on in that center is going to be used by the military.”

Similarly, acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan sounded the alarm at that Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on March 14. “The fusion of commercial business with military is significant,” he said. “The technology that is developed in the civil world transfers to the military world. It’s a direct pipeline. Not only is there a transfer, there’s also systematic theft of U.S. technology that facilitates even faster development of emerging technology.”

  2. Nope. No emergency here.

    Just an invasion.

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/03/27/u-s-projected-to-add-1-5m-illegal-aliens-to-population-this-year/

“The United States is projected to add about 1.5 million illegal aliens to the American population by the end of the year, should current rates of Catch and Release, border crossings, and visa overstays pan out.
This year, the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Catch and Release policy — whereby border crossers and illegal aliens are readily released from federal custody into the interior of the U.S. — is on track to release roughly 434,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the country by the end of the year. This projection is based on current estimates that more than 36,000 border crossers and illegal aliens have been released from DHS custody every month since the beginning of the year.

Additionally, Princeton Policy Advisors researcher Steven Kopits projects that in 2019, there will be up to 500,000 illegal aliens at the southern border who successfully cross into the U.S. undetected by Border Patrol agents. These are foreign nationals whom federal immigration officials are unaware of and are usually only deported after they commit a crime in the U.S.”

    —————————-

And even after breaking our laws to illegally enter, many flaunt the law further by ignoring deportation orders to leave. When is enough, enough?

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/mar/28/92-percent-illegal-immigrant-families-ignore-depor/

“92 percent of illegal immigrant families ignore deportations, Lindsey Graham says”

“Nearly every illegal immigrant family slated for deportation over the last six months has ignored those orders, according to the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

A staggering 92 percent of family members failed to appear at their deportation hearings in the months since September, said Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican.

He said he obtained those numbers from Ron Vitiello, acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“The system is broken and overwhelmed,” Mr. Graham tweeted. “It is a national emergency!”

  3. It’s an emergency, so don’t cry when the president does what is necessary. He alone has the authority to do so, and it’s time to exercise it.

““For the first time in over a decade, CBP is performing direct releases of migrants when [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] is unable to provide bed space to relieve overcrowding,” McAleenan said.

The comments came as the number of migrant families seeking asylum at the southern border has increased in recent months.

McAleenan added Wednesday that the influx is leading to overcrowding in CBP facilities, which he said is resulting in illnesses among migrants.

“We are doing everything we can to simply avoid a tragedy in a CBP facility,” he said. “But with these numbers, with the types of illnesses we’re seeing at the border, I fear that it’s just a matter of time.”

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/03/27/exclusive-devin-nunes-criminal-referral-time-offense/

“Exclusive — Devin Nunes Sending Criminal Referral to DOJ over Spygate: ‘Time to Go on Offense’”

“House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA) is planning to send a criminal referral next week to the Justice Department that will detail “multiple referrals on a number of different crimes,” including leaking classified information, as part of his investigation into misconduct at the Justice Department and the FBI.
“As of now, it’ll be one criminal referral but with multiple referrals on a number of different crimes,” he told Breitbart News on Wednesday in an exclusive interview. “We will have some leakers in there for sure.”

He said on the ending of the Special Counsel investigation, after it found the Trump campaign did not collude with Russia, “We knew this was a joke from the beginning, and I’ve said as much for a long time. Basically from the time our report came out, which has been a year. But now, the real work begins. It’s good to not have that sitting out there. But we have to now go on offense and track down all these dirty cops and bad players.”

In addition, Nunes said he plans to interview about 50 people—some who have never been called before Congress—who were involved or know about the pushing of the “pee dossier” within various U.S. government agencies, and its use to get a surveillance warrant on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

Nunes—who took a beating from mainstream news outlets for challenging the Russian collusion narrative—wants to get to the bottom of how it all began, which he said was long before the FBI claims they officially began their investigation of the Trump campaign in late July 2016.

“It all stems from the fact that we know that this investigation started long before the end of July,” he said. “We are quite confident that this investigation started long before they told us that it did.”

He said it reaches all the way to the Obama White House, though it is not yet clear how involved former President Barack Obama was.

“Look, there’s big problems — big problems that the public needs to know about. Maximum transparency is the best thing here,” he said.

Nunes said he believes Barr will have to act on his criminal referral. “There’ll be things in there that cannot be ignored. There will be crimes … so they have to be dealt with,” he said.

He told Fox News on Tuesday he would target “people who lied to Congress, perjury, [and] criminal conspiracy.””

  5. Twitter wants to end Trump’s way around the press by talking directly to the people.

    https://thehill.com/policy/technology/436218-twitter-considering-labeling-trump-tweets-that-violate-rules

“A Twitter executive on Wednesday said the company is considering a new feature that will label tweets from politicians, including President Trump, when they violate Twitter rules.

Vijaya Gadde, Twitter’s head of legal, policy, and trust and safety, at a Washington Post event on Wednesday said the company might start annotating offensive tweets from public figures with a message about why they remain up.

Twitter has long held that some posts from public figures should remain up because they are “newsworthy,” even when they violate Twitter guidelines. ”

  6. They abandoned real news long ago, and they’ve been propaganda for quite some time.

    THIS is CNN.

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2019/03/how-democrat-talking-points-become-cnn-programming/

“How Democrat Healthcare Talking Points Become CNN Programming

Tucker Carlson: “CNN is not a news outlet. It’s a super PAC.”

“Carlson showed how talking points move from the lips of Democratic party leadership, to the stories that lead CNN prime time programming.

He began by pointing out that with the collapse of the Mueller narrative, CNN had a huge programming void to fill. He then played a clip of Nancy Pelosi speaking to reporters on Monday, declaring that Democrats were going to focus on healthcare – as they always have – and that she hoped the press would focus on these issues.

Then came the astounding part. Tucker walked through a sampling of clips from CNN’s prime time programming and what was everyone talking about? Healthcare, of course.

Tucker specifically noted that every single CNN show from 7 pm to midnight followed suit, and that it began again at 6 am Wednesday and continued throughout the day.

This has to be seen to be believed, watch the whole thing below. Is there any wonder why the left is working so hard to get Tucker taken off the air?”

  7. Time to reap what they’ve sown. Don’t cry about fighting dirty now. NTers, Dems and the media built this, and they’re gonna own it.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2019/03/trump-wants-campaign-mueller-report-2020/585967/

“It’s been just four days since the president learned that Robert Mueller found no evidence of collusion, but Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump’s lawyer, is no longer in the mood to celebrate. He’s thrilled about the outcome, of course, as is his client. Trump told the former New York mayor that “he’s happier than he thought he would be.” But Giuliani, sipping a Diet Coke on Wednesday morning at the Trump Hotel, said it’s time to focus on the next mission: Find out who started all this—and why.

“We’re now trying to prove who did it,” Giuliani said. “The premise is, somebody had to have started the ‘He colluded with the Russians’” narrative. (Never mind that Trump’s posture toward the Kremlin has long been strange.) Asked whether the president himself wants an investigation to examine this question, Giuliani said, “*#@&^%$ right he [does]. This is not ‘Oh, gee, it’s over, let’s forget about it.’”

    —————————

“Trump allies see Barr’s letter as a kind of Swiss Army knife—a tool useful in all kinds of situations. Not only is it exculpatory, they say, but it also implicitly rebukes the press for its coverage of the Russia investigation, inoculating Trump from any future scandal that reporters might unearth. According to a source familiar with internal discussions at the Republican National Committee and the pro-Trump super PAC America First, both organizations are “geared up for any nonsense to come.”

They’re already prepared to attack reporters. “Any reporter who tries that will be hit with 30-second spots of all their ridiculous claims about collusion,” said the source, who, like others interviewed for this story, requested anonymity to describe private conversations. “Their tweets have all been screencapped. It’s all ready to go.” (“It’s the same thing we’ve been doing the last two years. We’re going to hold the media accountable when we see fit,” an RNC official clarified, adding that this would include digital clips shared on social media.)

Earlier this week, Trump’s campaign previewed the in-your-face tactics they have in mind. A campaign official sent a letter to TV producers cautioning them against booking certain guests who had alleged that Trump colluded with Russia, including Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, Democratic Representative Adam Schiff of California, and Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez.

“It’s not hard to figure where we’re going to go with this,” a current campaign official told The Atlantic. “We’re still in victory-lap mode, but it will turn into a message that [Democrats] will say or do anything to stop us from making America great again, including making up lies about the president and ruining a lot of people’s lives.”

White House officials suggested that the president has no plans to move on from the report because Democrats aren’t moving on. Instead, “they are doubling and tripling down,” says the White House spokesman Hogan Gidley.”

  8. Now that the collusion hoax is dead, let’s take a look at how wrong Ricky and his NT friends (Goldberg, French, Kristoll, Boot, all of ’em) were. 🙂

Hint: They’ve been pretty much wrong on everything, as I said. Repeatedly.

  9. For the record, the video at 8:25 or so yesterday morning (the prayer) is actually highly offensive and is, I think, meant to be so–in both uses of the word “offensive.” It’s a prayer of warfare in the name of Jesus, “taking back a Christian nation,” a political prayer, and equating the USA with God’s people. And she may well be one of those pray-ers who uses “Jesus” five times in a sentence every time she prays, but it surely sounds like she is trying to use His name as often as possible just to offend those who don’t believe in Jesus, and it certainly would sound that way to anyone who hadn’t sat in a prayer meeting and heard those kinds of prayers. If you notice, the men in the frame are trying very hard to be appropriately reverent and patient, but the tension in the room must have really been growing, and the two at the left side of the frame eventually can’t just stand there with heads bowed and eyes closed.

If a Muslim prayed to Allah that way in that setting, would you not be offended? It’s not a church and not a mosque, and the religion she invoked was not God in Christ saving His people, it was Jesus in wrath punishing the enemies of the United States and of Israel. It’s nation worship.

  11. Gentlemanly?

He removed himself because his whole story was imploding, so he he bailed.

Right after Ricky (who admitted on Facebook he’s still lurking) apologizes for calling me a liar, a cultist, idiot, you name it, and worse on my own blog daily for 2+ years. It’s not about Trump, rarely was, but while he impugned Trump, he did myself as well on occasions too numerous to count.

See, I’m thinking I’m owed an apology. When he mans up, I’ll let it go. Until then, skip my posts if it offends your delicate sensibilities. But I don’t remember you speaking up when it was Ricky being ungentlemanly on a daily basis toward me, so it rings kinda hollow.

I know you dislike Trump and are sick of hearing about it too. But it’s not just about Trump anymore. You may give him a pass for so ungraciously treating his host, but I do not, not yet. I feel I’m owed a little more than that.

Thanks for considering my position too.

  13. The post was about the lady’s prayer, not about the Muslim prayer. I’m sure there were those who found the Muslim prayer offensive, but that doesn’t give the Christian lady license to be offensive, or overdo it, if you will. Her prayer would have been more appropriate in a prayer meeting of like-minded believers.

As for Ricky, you may remember that I cautioned him a time or two about his choice of words. They sometimes made me cringe, but then again, sometimes your words make me cringe, too.

“BREAKING: Bill Barr Announces a Release Date for the Full Mueller Report and Rips Media Getting Things Wrong, Again”

“Attorney General Bill Barr sent a letter to relevant lawmakers on Capitol Hill Friday afternoon announcing the full Special Counsel report, with redactions required by law, will be released for “everyone” to see in the coming weeks.

“As we have discussed, I share you desire to ensure that Congress and the public have the opportunity to read the Special Counsel’s report. We are preparing the report for release, making the redactions that are required. The Special Counsel is assisting us with this process,” Barr wrote to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham and House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler. “Our progress is such that I anticipate we will be in a position to released the report by mid-April, if not sooner. Although the President would have the right to assert executive privilege over certain parts of the report, he has stated publicly that he intends to defer to me and, accordingly, there are no plans to submit the report to the White House for a privilege review.”

According to the letter, “(1) material subject to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 6 (e) that by law cannot be made public; (2) material the intelligence community identifies as potentially compromising sensitive sources and methods; (3) material that could affect other ongoing matters, including those that the Special Counsel has referred to other Department offices; and (4) information that would unduly infringe on the personal privacy and reputational interests of peripheral third parties” will not be released. ”

Barr strongly disputed claims from lawmakers and the media that his four-page statement about Mueller’s report, released last Sunday, was a summary. Some Democrats, including Nadler and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, have falsely implied throughout the week the Attorney General is engaged in a coverup.”

The changes came at the urging of the National Center for Transgender Equality, which is delivering flags to congressional offices in advance of International Transgender Day of Visibility. Among the members to make the switch was Rep. Kim Schrier (D., Wash.), who replaced the POW flag she had displayed outside her office with a transgender pride flag.”

I am not a Trump fan, and did not vote for him. His saving grace is that he is not Hillary. I am with Chas on that. I am even more thankful that Hillary did not get in since we have had a change in governorship in NM. Our new governor is doing her best to implement every single item on the liberal agenda.

However, the above article shows that elected officials can work together for what is best for the people. I was in shock when they defeated the bill. God gets all of the glory in this one. But, people must be willing to step outside the party line in order for good things to happen.

  19. Actually, AJ, I believe I said things to Ricky a time or two that he was rude to you. Mostly I ignored both of you as I would ignore the petty bickering of two little boys who weren’t my responsibility because their mothers were in the room and their mothers could be the ones to handle anything that needed it.

Christian brothers shouldn’t be divided over something so petty as whether or not they like the president–which seems to me to be why Ricky left. It was the only way you two could have peace.

I didn’t vote for Trump, didn’t cast a vote for president at all in that election. But I think I have been pretty fair minded about him. Your own support of him often looks irrational, even cultic, and it worries me. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one here who is worried. How about your wife? Does it ever bother her how intense you get about Trump, or do you only do that on here? I’m not saying that to be mean, but because relationships among Christians are more important than politics.

  20. Ricky’s FB account is now deactivated, though I see he’s still active on Twitter—or was yesterday. I have considered deactivating my FB as well, and probably would if not for the many family members and a few Christian groups I communicate with.

I noticed that one of my cousins has started posting more articles about the persecuted church here and around the world. These stories do not receive the national attention they deserve the way some others do. So I have decided that I will start sharing more of those on FB to help make others more aware of the situation.

Someone recently said ” I didn’t want to hurt you, so I made you angry instead.” I can understand that. I have discovered a few things about myself. I have found that it is easier (and more satisfying to my flesh) to be angry and outraged than it is to be brokenhearted. My flesh leans into the anger, but it rebels and is revolted by the harsh things that produce brokenness. The stories of persecuted Christians is one of those harsh things.

TAC had a good one today.
