Prayer Requests 2-25-19

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 24

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
    the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded it on the seas
    and established it on the waters.

Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
    Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
    who does not trust in an idol
    or swear by a false god.

They will receive blessing from the Lord
    and vindication from God their Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
    who seek your face, God of Jacob.

Lift up your heads, you gates;
    be lifted up, you ancient doors,
    that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
    The Lord strong and mighty,
    the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, you gates;
    lift them up, you ancient doors,
    that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is he, this King of glory?
    The Lord Almighty—
    he is the King of glory.

  1. Prayer for Six and Kim and Jo’s vehicle situation.
    Prayer for my family having wisdom on how to help our dad and stepmom. They won’t move in with any of us, because they don’t want to be a burden. None of us would consider them as such. So we look for somebody to help them out regularly.

  2. I fully understand their position.
    Elvera and I are in our own home and are self sufficient.
    However, it would be much more difficult if Chuck and Linda weren’t around.
    That’s why we are in Greensboro.

  3. I absolutely agree. And that is why daughter was living there and it was difficult for all but they adjusted. It is also why we bought a house next door to daughter. So when we need help, we will not be so much work for them. It is also why we went ahead and built this place with an extra wing, so they could have privacy if they ever chose to live here. KInd of the duplex affect.

  4. I am concerned about all of that for when we are older, too. We have none of our children near us. We really do not want to move and would be leaving activities and friends behind, not to mention dentists etc. with whom we are familiar. No easy answers as you age. Since my husband plays music at lots of senior centers and apartment buildings we do have some idea of what is around. We also see and hear about some of the difficult decisions and complications.

  5. Which is why we are trying to downsize and bought a house in the city, next door to our daughter the RN, who has always told us we will stay in her home when we get to that point. I believe her but will attempt to keep that at bay by living next door.
