So far it’s just the money.

“Mayoral task force recommends paying struggling Chicagoans $1,000 a month”

“Some Chicago families could start collecting a $1,000 check every month with no strings attached. That’s the new proposal from a task force created by Mayor Emanuel.

The idea is to break the cycle of poverty. The pilot program would give 1,000 struggling Chicagoans $1,000 a month.”

  2. These are not the actions of an ally.

Allies don’t protect terrorists from justice, but Merkel’s Germany does.

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2019/02/merkels-government-deliberately-helped-terrorist-escape-justice-u-s-attorney-general-says/

“Merkel’s Government “Deliberately Helped” Terrorist Escape Justice, U.S. Attorney General Says

U.S. Ambassador Grenell: “Adem Yilmaz is responsible for deaths of U.S. servicemembers.”

“The United States has accused the German government of letting a convicted terrorist escape American justice. Turkish national Adem Yilmaz, responsible for the murder of two U.S. servicemen, was deported to Turkey despite an American extradition request to face trial in a New York court.

“Adem Yilmaz is responsible for the deaths of U.S. servicemembers,” U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell said on Thursday. “This failure to extradite him to the United States violates the terms and spirit of our Extradition Treaty.”

Yilmaz, who served eleven years in German prison for the foiled 2007 terror plot to target U.S. citizens and facilities, including the Ramstein air base, was also behind the 2008 suicide bombing in Afghanistan that killed two U.S. servicemen and injured 11 others.

“We are gravely disappointed by Germany’s decision to deport a dangerous terrorist — Adem Yilmaz — to Turkey, rather than to extradite him to the United States to face justice for his complicity in the murder of two American servicemen,” acting U.S. Attorney General Matthew Whitaker said in a statement. “The German government deliberately helped Yilmaz escape justice by placing him on a plane to Turkey,” he added.

German authorities defended the decision to reject the U.S. extradition request, saying they feared the violation of legal rights of the terrorist. “An extradition could have only occurred if the Americans said they would restrict the charges to crimes not already punished,” a spokesperson for the Frankfurt court told The Associated Press.”

  3. German liberals side with terrorists, and Democrat liberals side with criminal illegals.

    It’s almost like there’s a pattern here……

    https://dailycaller.com/2019/02/10/sheriffs-ice-cap-release-8300-criminal-aliens/

“America’s sheriffs are warning Congress to stop a proposed backroom deal that would institute a ceiling on the number of illegal immigrants that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) can detain.

According to letters sent to House and Senate lawmakers on Friday, the National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) and the Major Country Sheriffs of America claim that if ICE is forced to release detainees, over 8,300 criminal illegals will be sent to the streets and potentially lost to the administrative and judicial systems.

The letters were obtained by The Daily Caller Sunday after contacting the NSA.

The brokered agreement would mandate that ICE can hold no more than 16,500 people at a time. The negotiations began last December as part of the talks surrounding the partial government shutdown. Discussions resumed after the reopening of the federal government and are reportedly ongoing with another shutdown potentially looming. ”

  5. The case for Russian collusion….. by Democrats.

    https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/429292-the-case-for-russia-collusion-against-the-democrats

“Now that both the House and Senate investigative committees have cleared Donald Trump of Democrat-inspired allegations of Russian collusion, it is worth revisiting one anecdote that escaped significant attention during the hysteria but continues to have U.S. security implications.

As secretary of State, Hillary Clinton worked with Russian leaders, including Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and then-President Dmitri Medvedev, to create U.S. technology partnerships with Moscow’s version of Silicon Valley, a sprawling high-tech campus known as Skolkovo.

Clinton’s handprint was everywhere on the 2009-2010 project, the tip of a diplomatic spear to reboot U.S.-Russian relations after years of hostility prompted by Vladimir Putin’s military action against the former Soviet republic and now U.S. ally, Georgia.

A donor to the Clinton Foundation, Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg, led the Russian side of the effort, and several American donors to the Clinton charity got involved. Clinton’s State Department facilitated U.S. companies working with the Russian project, and she personally invited Medvedev to visit Silicon Valley.

The collaboration occurred at the exact same time Bill Clinton made his now infamous trip to Russia to pick up a jaw-dropping $500,000 check for a single speech.

The former president’s trip secretly raised eyebrows inside his wife’s State Department, internal emails show.

That’s because he asked permission to meet Vekselberg, the head of Skolkovo, and Arkady Dvorkovich, a senior official of Rosatom, the Russian nuclear giant seeking State’s permission to buy Uranium One, a Canadian company with massive U.S. uranium reserves.

Years later, intelligence documents show, both the Skolkovo and Uranium One projects raised serious security concerns.”

  6. Interesting.

    And no comment.

    https://spectator.org/christians-bet-on-trump-and-won/

“In 2016, critics of Trump warned his Christians supporters that as president he would revert to his secularist New York roots. He hasn’t. The confidence the religious right placed in him has been largely vindicated. He has turned out to be the most reliable defender of religious freedom since Ronald Reagan.

Barack Obama had spent his presidency marginalizing Christians in his quest to “fundamentally transform” the country. Had Hillary won, she would have intensified that assault. Trump has given Christians some breathing room in the culture war, as evident in his remarks during last week’s National Prayer Breakfast. He made a point of defending the Vice President’s wife, Karen Pence, who has been attacked for simply teaching at a Christian school blacklisted by the LGBT movement.

Trump also spoke strongly in defense of the pro-life movement. “All children, born and unborn, are made in the holy image of God. Every life is sacred and every soul is a precious gift from heaven,” he said. “I will never let you down. I can say that. Never.” The frequency with which Trump speaks on abortion has rankled the media, which had hoped he would go soft on the issue like other moderate-leaning Republicans. Instead, Trump speaks about it directly and without apology. He devoted an important passage of his State of the Union address to the subject: “Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments before birth. These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world.”

Trump shows far more reverence for the basic tenets of Judeo-Christian culture than those who have cast him as the callous, amoral plutocrat. His common sense and patriotism lead him to show a respect for America’s theistic traditions and he recognizes that America’s decline is tied to straying from them. He speaks about God in an uncomplicated manner, with far less hedging than modern churchmen. To Trump, it is obvious that rights come not from government but from God. The whole secularist project, consequently, makes no sense to him and he has no qualms about letting Christians live on their own terms without government harassment.”

  7. It ain’t lack of money that keeps people in poverty. It’s attitude.
There was a time when we were financially, at the poverty level. But the purpose was to charge ahead. That’s what works.

I know of a 27 year old guy who works part time at WalMart. He spends the rest of his time in the basement playing video games. There is ho help for that type. Money is not what he needs..

Re Aj’s o 6:50 & 8:54, , with the Tychicus post on the prayer thread.
“Multiculturalism” is a stupid motto of many otherwise smart people. It is so stupid that it can’t come from lack of intelligence. It has to have an evil source.
    Nowhere,
Nowhere in history or on the earth has multiculturalism survived. It always ends in conflict.
The Germans can’t get along with the French. What will they do with Libyans?

“Trump’s approval rating among likely voters soars to his best in 23 MONTHS at 52 per cent after State of the Union address as border-wall shutdown talks intensify

Rasmussen Reports poll as Trump at 52 per cent approval, his best showing in 23 months and a higher number than his winning edge in 2016

Significant up-swing since government-shutdown low of 43 per cent

New numbers were collected in the three days immediately following State of the Union address

Asked what Monday’s number mean, a senior Democratic House aide confided on background: ‘I don’t know yet if it’s horrible, but it sure isn’t good’

Polling average is just 42.4 per cent, including mostly those surveys that are open to all Americans; Rasmussen polls only ‘likely voters'”

“Entertainment TV is far worse than news when it comes to progressive bias and hatred for conservative people and views. A cross section of nightly programming on major networks, cable TV or popular streaming services is loaded with anti-conservative, anti-Trump propaganda. January features at least 33 separate entertainment programs that attack conservative values and/or President Donald Trump while promoting a hardcore progressive agenda.

This aggressive lefty programming calls President Donald Trump a “racist,” and a “terrorist” who is holding America “hostage,” ridicules Second Lady Karen Pence and her husband’s “BDSM late night kink sessions,” insinuates that Democracy has “died” in America, joked that the president watches Judge Jeanine Pirro’s show with his “pants off,” and trashed proponents of border enforcement.

    https://news.yahoo.com/heavy-clashes-us-backed-forces-final-push-against-101643002.html

“US-backed forces were locked in fierce fighting Sunday as they pressed the battle against the last shred of the Islamic State group’s “caliphate” in eastern Syria.

The jihadists overran large parts of the country and neighbouring Iraq in 2014, but various military offensives have since reduced that territory to a patch on the Iraqi border.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), supported by a US-led coalition, announced a final push to retake the jihadist pocket late Saturday, after a pause of more than a week to allow civilians to flee.

SDF spokesman Mustafa Bali on Sunday afternoon said his fighters had battled their way forwards against the jihadists, capturing 41 positions from them.

“Our forces are relying on direct combat with light weapons,” he told AFP.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor group said the SDF had advanced across farming land, backed by coalition air strikes and artillery fire.

Earlier, an SDF field commander reported “heavy clashes” as his fighters gained ground.

The SDF launched an offensive to expel IS from the oil-rich eastern province of Deir Ezzor in September.

The Kurdish-led alliance has since whittled down jihadist-held territory to a scrap of just four square kilometres (one square mile) between the Euphrates and the Iraqi border.

Up to 600 jihadists could still remain inside, most of them foreigners, Bali said.”

  12. The other runner-up for Democrat bigot of the year is in it again too.

    https://dailycaller.com/2019/02/11/rashida-tlaib-farrakhan-anti-semitism/

“Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib in 2006 wrote an op-ed column for Final Call, a Nation of Islam publication founded by Louis Farrakhan, in the latest tie to emerge between the congresswoman and anti-Semitic figures.

Tlaib authored the column in 2006, while working as the advocacy coordinator for the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS), two years before she first won election to the state legislature. Tlaib was described as a “guest columnist” in the article, which argued against deporting immigrants found guilty of “minor offenses.”

Final Call describes itself as “the official communications organ of the Nation of Islam” and was founded by the group’s leader, Farrakhan, according to Final Call’s website.

Farrakhan’s history of unapologetic anti-Semitism including describing Jews as “satanic” and praising Hitler as a “very great man,” was well established by 2006.

Final Call has published a steady stream of articles defending Farrakhan from charges of anti-Semitism.

An October 2018 Final Call article quoted Farrakhan’s social media director, Jesse Muhammad, saying the backlash was proof that Farrakhan “must have sprayed some form of termite repellant that stirred up those that have practiced and continue to practice Talmudic ways by eating at the foundation and the carcass of a dead people chosen by God.””

    “Why the change?

The drastic changes to the Democrats and a dishonest, but also the accomplishments in this administration:

We have a party that is increasingly hostile to religion and now applies religious tests to blocking judicial nominees. We have a party that believes children can be murdered at birth. We have a party that would set back the economic progress of this nation by generations through their environmental policies. We have a party that uses the issue of Russia opportunistically. We have a party that has weaponized race, gender, and other issues to divide us all while calling the President “divisive.” We have a party that is deeply, deeply hostile to large families, small businesses, strong work ethics, gun ownership, and traditional values. We have a party that is more and more openly anti-Semitic.

The Democrats have increasingly determined to let that hostility shape their public policy. They are adamant, with a religious fervor, that one must abandon one’s deeply held convictions and values as a form of penance to their secular gods.

On top of that, we have an American media that increasingly views itself not as a neutral observer, but as an anti-Trump operation. The daily litany of misreported and badly reported stories designed to paint this Administration in a negative light continues to amaze me. Juxtapose the contrast in national reporting on the President and race or Brett Kavanaugh and old allegations with the media dancing around the issues in Virginia. Or compare and contrast the media’s coverage of the New York and Virginia abortion laws with their coverage of this President continuing the policies of the Obama Administration at the border, including the Obama policy of separating children from adults. Or look now at how the media is scrambling to cover for and make excuses for the Democrats’ “Green New Deal,” going so far as to suggest that maybe, just maybe, the outline of policy initiatives was an error or forged.”
