“Waste crisis looms as thousands of solar panels reach end of life”

“Thousands of ageing rooftop solar panels represent a toxic time-bomb and major economic waste unless Australia acts swiftly to keep them out of landfill, conservationists and recyclers say.

Australiaโ€™s enthusiastic embrace of rooftop solar has brought clear environmental and economic benefits, but critics say governments have dragged their feet in addressing the looming waste crisis.

As of December more than 2 million Australian households had rooftop solar installed. The uptake continues to grow due to the technologyโ€™s falling cost and rising electricity bills.

Photovoltaic panels last about 30 years, and those installed at the turn of the millennium are nearing the end of their lives. Many have already been retired due to faults or damage during transport and installation.”

Still shocked that so many R voters in Alabama fell for it.

“One of the operatives reportedly behind a so-called false-flag campaign in Alabama appeared to confirm elements of the ruse in 2017 despite denying knowledge of the project in recent reports.

Democratic operativesโ€™ troll campaign in Alabama took a turn after old tweets reveal one of the groups responsible might have known more than they were letting on.

Two-year-old comments from one of the operatives responsible for the Alabama misinformation campaign raises questions about his past statements regarding the project”

“Jonathon Morgan, the founder of New Knowledge (NK), denied knowledge of his groupโ€™s intent to create Twitter accounts posing as Russian bots to torpedo Republican Roy Mooreโ€™s senatorial bid. Morganโ€™s social media history casts doubt on his contentions.

โ€œRussian trolls tracked by #Hamilton68 are taking an interest in the AL Senate race. What a surprise,โ€ Morgan wrote in a Nov. 10, 2017 tweet, which mentioned Hamilton68, a dashboard operated by the Alliance for Securing Democracy.

His tweet came less than a month before NK reportedly created an internal report documenting crucial elements of the campaign. Morganโ€™s comments also suggests he was speaking about the alleged Russian bots as if they were a matter of fact.”

“The campaign came to light after The New York Times published an exposรฉ on Dec. 19, 2018, showing operatives associated with NK targeted conservative Alabama voters with fake Facebook pages intended to hurt Moore and boost his opponent, Democratic Sen. Doug Jones.”

  5. Right again.

It always was a fishing expedition.

    https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/andrew-mccarthy-fbi-russia-investigation-was-always-about-trump

“Because the FBI did not have solid evidence of a crime, they did it under counterintelligence authority rather than criminal authority โ€“ calculating that the cover of probing Russiaโ€™s interference in the 2016 election would enable them to keep investigating while they tried to tighten up the obstruction case or find some other criminal offense. ”

    ———————-

“The FBI and DOJ knew this would be controversial โ€“ the incumbent administration spying on the opposition campaign in the absence of corroborated evidence of a crime. So, they designed the investigation in a way that allowed them to focus on Trump without saying they were doing so. Before Trump was elected, they papered the files to indicate that they were focusing on the Trump campaign or people connected to it, like Page and Papadopoulos. This way, they could try to collect evidence about Trump without formally documenting that Trump was the target.

After Trump was elected, the FBI realized that Trump was soon going to have access to government intelligence files. If they honestly told the president-elect that they had been investigating his campaign in hope of making a case on him, they had to be concerned that he would shut the investigation down and clean house at the FBI and DOJ. So, they misleadingly told him the investigation was about Russia and a few stray people in his campaign, but they assured him he personally was not under investigation.

This was not true. The investigation was always hoping to find something on Trump. That is why, for example, when director Comey briefed then-President-elect Trump about the Steele dossier, he told Trump only about the salacious allegation involving prostitutes in a Moscow hotel; he did not tell the president-elect either that the main thrust of the dossier was Trumpโ€™s purported espionage conspiracy with the Kremlin, nor that the FBI had gone to the FISC to get surveillance warrants based on the dossier. The FBI was telling the president-elect that the allegations were salacious and unverified, yet at that very moment they were presenting them to a federal court as information the judges could rely on to authorize spying.

Later, though Comey repeatedly told President Trump he was not a suspect, he gave House testimony patently geared to lead the public and the media to believe Trump was a suspect โ€“ which is exactly how the media reported it. In so doing, the FBI (and the Obama holdovers in the Justice Department who authorized Comeyโ€™s testimony) violated DOJ rules about publicly confirming the existence of an investigation, and publicly identifying a subject of an investigation: the Trump campaign, which Comey publicly announced was suspected of โ€œcoordinatingโ€ in the Kremlinโ€™s widely reported cyberespionage interference in the 2016 campaign.

Comeyโ€™s firing on May 9, 2017, was not the start of an investigation of Trump. It was the point when the FBI and Justice Department rashly determined that they finally had a crime to pin on Trump โ€” obstruction. In their haste and overconfidence, they rationalized that (a) Comeyโ€™s firing must have been intended to impede the Russia investigation, and that they could couple this with; (b) the claim that Trump may have impeded the Flynn investigation โ€“ based on a memo Comey leaked to the New York Times a few days after his firing.

Legally, none of this was obstruction. Yet, the FBI and Justice Department settled on this novel and flawed legal theory: Even though the president has constitutional authority to fire subordinates and weigh in on investigations, he may somehow still be prosecuted for obstruction if a prosecutor concludes that his motive was improper. Of course, even though he could have, Trump never actually took any steps to interfere in the investigations of Russia (which is still continuing) or Flynn (who later was indicted and pled guilty). Yet the FBI, hot-headed over the directorโ€™s dismissal, concluded that this obstruction theory was a sound enough basis to go overt with the case on Trump they had actually been trying to make for many months.

Remember, it is not just that the FBI formally opened an investigative file on Trump. There was talk between Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and acting FBI director Andrew McCabe of wiring up against the president โ€” i.e., conducting covert surveillance to try to record Trump making damaging statements. There was also talk of invoking the 25th Amendment โ€“ of claiming Trump was too incapacitated to perform his duties. And finally, on May 17, Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel to pursue the Trump-Russia investigation.”

  6. Traitors.

    And yes, right again.

    https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/newt-gingrich-reported-fbi-probe-of-trump-was-led-by-anti-trump-fanatics-who-betrayed-constitution

“President Trump was not betraying the Constitution. There is no evidence he ever considered betraying his country for the Russians. It is the Justice Department bureaucrats who have been betraying the Constitution.”

    ——————-

“The extraordinary story published Friday night in The New York Times headlined โ€œF.B.I. Opened Inquiry into Whether Trump was Secretly Working on Behalf of Russiaโ€ tells us how deeply sick the Washington establishment has become.

A group of bureaucrats โ€“ elected by no one โ€“ sat in a room and decided they would investigate the new president of the United States for possible treason. Let me repeat: treason. This is, after all, the implication of this investigation.

This group of bureaucrats reports to no one in elected authority. In a Justice Department where employees gave 97 percent of their presidential campaign contributions to Hillary Clinton, the hostility toward โ€“ and fear of โ€“ newly elected President Trump was deep.

The senior members of the Justice Department (all promoted under the Obama administration) were clearly prepared to go all-out to repudiate the verdict of the American people in the 2016 election.

Further, these were Justice Department bureaucrats who had ignored the Clinton Foundation scandals, minimized the investigation into the Clinton email and Internet scandal, and ignored former President Clinton collecting money from Russians overseas while his wife was secretary of state.

Suddenly, these hitherto passive, dispassionate, and tolerant โ€œlaw enforcementโ€ bureaucrats were galvanized into investigating a president for possible treason.

When they made this decision, who did they share it with? Obviously, they could not go to President Trump, since he was the target of their investigation.

In an orderly world, they might have gone to Vice President Mike Pence and briefed him. Pence, after all, was a member of the U.S. House and governor of Indiana before he was vice president. There is no taint of any scandal involving anything Pence has ever done.

If these Justice Department anti-Trump fanatics were afraid to go to the White House, they could have briefed the leaders of the Judiciary and the Intelligence committees in the House and Senate. At that point they would have had some potential reality check.”

  10. Cases of the vanishing Saudis…..

Commit crimes in the US, then POOF….. back to the UAE before anything can be done.

It’s not just in Oregon either.

    https://www.oregonlive.com/news/2019/01/gone-more-cases-emerge-of-saudi-students-vanishing-while-facing-oregon-charges.html

“Gone: More cases emerge of Saudi students vanishing while facing Oregon charges”

“In December 2014, a university student from Saudi Arabia was arrested in Monmouth and accused of raping a classmate after giving her marijuana and shots of Jack Danielโ€™s.

Bail was set at a half-million dollars. The judge ordered the student, Abdulaziz Al Duways, to turn over his passport to the private defense lawyer hired to represent him, according to court records and the Polk County District Attorneyโ€™s Office.

A few days later, an official from the Royal Consulate General of Saudi Arabia in Los Angeles posted bail.

    Al Duways disappeared.

The case preceded a similar one recently reported by The Oregonian/OregonLive involving Abdulrahman Sameer Noorah. The Portland Community College student jumped bail in the hit-and-run death of a 15-year-old Portland girl and apparently fled with the Saudi Arabian governmentโ€™s help, law enforcement officials said.

But the two disappearances arenโ€™t the only ones involving Saudi students facing serious criminal charges in Oregon.

The Oregonian/OregonLive has found criminal cases involving at least five Saudi nationals who vanished before they faced trial or completed their jail sentence in Oregon. They include two accused rapists, a pair of suspected hit-and-run drivers and one man with child porn on his computer.

The five cases share many similarities:

    – All were young men studying at a public college or university in Oregon with assistance from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the time of their arrest.

    – In four of the cases, the Saudi government stepped in to help, posting large sums of money for bail and possibly underwriting legal fees.

    – Three surrendered their passports.

    – All disappeared while facing charges or jail time.

    – The same Oregon defense attorney, Ginger Mooney, was hired to represent the four most recent suspects.

    – Little is known of the whereabouts of the five, though some have been traced back to Saudi Arabia.”

“For all the bloviating we hear from Democrats about how walls are immoral and even racist, the Democrats sure do love to live behind walls themselves.

In fact, the relationship between the left and walls is so regular that the Daily Callerโ€™s Benny Johnson decided to start his own series where he travels to the homes of various leftists in order to check out the walls around their homes.

The series โ€œWalls Across Americaโ€ starts with Johnson traveling to Long Island, New York, to see how big the billionaire Democratic donor and activist George Sorosโ€™ wall is. As youโ€™ve likely already guessed, the will is massive.

Sitting somewhere around ten feet tall and spanning the length of an entire block, Soros lives behind a very secure stone wall that Johnson describes as โ€œproperly medieval.โ€”

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 53% of Likely U.S. Voters think it is better for the United States to tightly control who comes into the country. “NYT Reveals FBI Retaliated Against Trump For Comey Firing”

“A Friday expose from the New York Times reveals that the FBI investigation of Trump for alleged treason was little more than retaliation against the president for lawfully firing an incompetent and ethically challenged FBI director.”

“In a Friday night news dump, the New York Times revealed the FBIโ€™s surprisingly flimsy justification for launching a retaliatory investigation into President Donald Trump, their chief adversary during their recent troubled era.

Admitting there is no actual evidence for their probe into whether Trump โ€œworked for the Russians,โ€ FBI officials instead cited their foreign policy differences with him, his lawful firing of bungling FBI Director James Comey, and alarm that he accurately revealed to the American public that he was told he wasnโ€™t under investigation by the FBI, when they preferred to hide that fact.

The news was treated as a bombshell, and it was, but not for the reasons many thought. It wasnโ€™t news that the FBI had launched the investigation. Just last month, CNN reported that top FBI officials opened an investigation into Trump after the lawful firing of Comey because Trump โ€œneeded to be reined in,โ€ a shocking admission of abuse of power by our nationโ€™s top law enforcement agency.”

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/transcripts-of-lisa-pages-closed-door-testimonies-provide-new-revelations_2763452.html

“EXCLUSIVE: Transcripts of Lisa Pageโ€™s Closed-Door Testimonies Provide New Revelations in Spygate Scandal”

“Transcripts of two closed-door testimonies by Lisa Page, the former assistant general counsel at the FBI, have provided new insights into the actions of the FBI, Department of Justice (DOJ), and othersโ€”including CIA Director John Brennanโ€”regarding their investigation of Donald Trump.

Included in the transcripts provided to us is information suggesting Brennan was aware of the so-called Steele dossier in early August 2016, and that he included information regarding the dossier in a briefing given to then-Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.).

Other key points in Pageโ€™s testimony before Congress:”

โ€ข The FBI appears to have considered investigating President Trump for obstruction of justice both before and after FBI Director James Comey was fired.

โ€ข Page says the DOJ refused to pursue โ€œgross-negligenceโ€ charges against Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server to send classified information.

โ€ข FBI agent Michael Gaeta, head of the Eurasian Crime Squad, who received the dossier from former MI6 spy Christopher Steele in July 2016 is referred to in the transcript as Steeleโ€™s handler.

โ€ข The FBI maintained a previously unknown verification file for the Steele dossier. Congressional investigators didnโ€™t previously know of its existence.

โ€ข John Carlin, the head of the DOJโ€™s National Security Division, was kept abreast of the FBIโ€™s investigative activities through contact with then-Deputy FBI Director McCabe.

โ€ข Page worked directly for DOJ official Bruce Ohr for at least five years and had met his wife, Nellie, once.

โ€ข The role of FBI agent Jonathan Moffa and DOJ official George Toscas may have been greater than initially assumed.

The interviews with Page were conducted by congressional lawmakers on July 13 and 16, 2018, in an unclassified setting, with the appropriate agency counsel present to ensure that classified information didnโ€™t enter into the unclassified setting.”
