Psalm 112
1 Praise the Lord.
Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
who find great delight in his commands.
2 Their children will be mighty in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches are in their houses,
and their righteousness endures forever.
4 Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,
for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
5 Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice.
6 Surely the righteous will never be shaken;
they will be remembered forever.
7 They will have no fear of bad news;
their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
8 Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear;
in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.
9 They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor,
their righteousness endures forever;
their horn will be lifted high in honor.
10 The wicked will see and be vexed,
they will gnash their teeth and waste away;
the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.

I’ve been struggling with anger yesterday evening and this morning. Two situations, one from which I can walk away (and did last night, and felt better after that), and the other from which I can’t.
I went to bed last night, thanking God for how He worked out that first situation, from which I walked away, but this morning, within about an hour of waking, the anger returned when thoughts of that (resolved) problem crept back into my head.
Obviously I still need work on taking every thought captive. What’s done is done, but my mind wants to keep going back to the old.
The second situation has gone on for quite a while and needs to be addressed head-on, but either I’m coping with the problem and not wanting to make waves by speaking to the person about it, or, when I’m not coping with it very well, I am afraid of bringing it up for fear of losing my temper. A direct, dispassionate conversation would probably help in the long run, though I’m quite sure my bringing it up, even calmly, will not initially be pleasing to the one to whom I need to speak.
Fear is holding me back.
Pray as the Spirit leads. Thank you.

You can also add prayers for my husband. He came home ripping mad from an experience he had in town this morning. I told him I could take care of getting that business straightened out today (I’m going to town, anyway, to run errands and practice at the concert venue), and he said, no, he’s going back to talk to them again and get the customer service he wants.
Perhaps you could also pray about a new problem that cropped up overnight — our refrigerator is malfunctioning. Got up to 50° inside of it before we knew it, then went down into the twenties overnight, bounced up to 46° from 25° in two and a half hour’s time this morning, now down to 30s where it belongs.
One burner on the stove is acting up. Is this the start of a long series of kitchen renovations? DJ? Kare? LOL. If I can’t laugh, I’ll cry.

My husband is wandering the US hoping the plane will land in San Francisco sometime today. He’s supposed to work the graveyard shift tonight for our nomadic shelter guests and the swing shift tomorrow since they needed an extra church to take in the homeless for the night.
My prayer is he’s asleep on the plane or it will be a very long night for him.
I’ve sent my response to the megachurch and will let you know if I’ll be speaking there. The Lord’s will either way.
The pregnancy I’ve asked you to pray about has a major appointment next week–to learn if the child is viable. Again, God’s will be done and a healthy baby. There’s no reason to suppose she isn’t except fear– too much infant tragedy in the lives of people I love in 2018.
