The real problem with the ladies described @7:20 is that they have lost respect for their pastors, many of whom have unfortunately joined The Cult. A time will come when those pastors will teach an important truth, and some of the ladies will not have ears to hear.
Many of these ladies already do not have ears to hear. They are led by their emotions, and sometimes it’s hard to blame them for that as they are the primary targets of a well-funded propaganda press.
We have needed more oversight on foreign investment for decades, and now it looks like we’re about to get it. This is probably related to the big technology security fails we’ve been talking about the past few days. This is pretty important and may slow down or stop some acquisitions and mergers. Long overdue.
Two years ago, for many of the women of my age group (60), their worst nightmare became president–the awful, treacly, disgusting guy who thirty years ago stood in their way, pawed them and mocked them.
Many endured sexual references, groping or other awful experiences as young women. For a variety of reasons, often involving money, fear of upsetting their parents/boyfriends/others, they did not report it.
Now those yahoos have “gotten away with it” and are their leaders. It’s unendurable. They look at those patriarchal white males whom they believe have stood in their way for years and they’re unhinged.
Even those who recognize the rule of law and that Dr. Ford didn’t have evidence, feel emotionally frustrated because yet again, they believe, “men will be men” rules the day and women are pushed to the sidelines.
It’s an emotional reaction.
A man explained women and emotions to his son one day:
“Women believe feelings are facts. If they ask you what you’re feeling about something and you don’t tell them, they believe you are withholding facts and asking them to make a decision without sufficient information. That upsets them.
“You need to listen to their feelings, at least appear to accept them, and then move on.”
I think that’s part of what unhinged so many rational women during the Kavanaugh hearings. Feelings of outrage from the past welled up and walloped them.
Those intense feelings made it difficult to set aside all those past betrayals, particularly when they were young, and recognize facts.
I’ve been surprised at the things rational friends have said about those hearings–and I’m a woman.
I’m also five feet, nine inches tall and have seldom felt belittled or physically threatened by a man.
Men would do well not to jeer, make fun of or pour further salt into wounds that have never healed.
I’d advise Republicans to accept the fact–Judge Kavanaugh was confirmed–and move along. Expressing their feelings by gloating is only going to make it worse and widen the divide.

The purpose was to test the credulity and the scholarly rigor of the “critical constructivism” that prevails on universities today. The real problem with the ladies described @7:20 is that they have lost respect for their pastors, many of whom have unfortunately joined The Cult. A time will come when those pastors will teach an important truth, and some of the ladies will not have ears to hear.

Many of these ladies already do not have ears to hear. They are led by their emotions, and sometimes it’s hard to blame them for that as they are the primary targets of a well-funded propaganda press.

We have needed more oversight on foreign investment for decades, and now it looks like we’re about to get it. This is probably related to the big technology security fails we’ve been talking about the past few days. This is pretty important and may slow down or stop some acquisitions and mergers. Long overdue.

Let me explain why women are so upset.
Two years ago, for many of the women of my age group (60), their worst nightmare became president–the awful, treacly, disgusting guy who thirty years ago stood in their way, pawed them and mocked them.
Many endured sexual references, groping or other awful experiences as young women. For a variety of reasons, often involving money, fear of upsetting their parents/boyfriends/others, they did not report it.
Now those yahoos have “gotten away with it” and are their leaders. It’s unendurable. They look at those patriarchal white males whom they believe have stood in their way for years and they’re unhinged.
Even those who recognize the rule of law and that Dr. Ford didn’t have evidence, feel emotionally frustrated because yet again, they believe, “men will be men” rules the day and women are pushed to the sidelines.
It’s an emotional reaction.
A man explained women and emotions to his son one day:
“Women believe feelings are facts. If they ask you what you’re feeling about something and you don’t tell them, they believe you are withholding facts and asking them to make a decision without sufficient information. That upsets them.
“You need to listen to their feelings, at least appear to accept them, and then move on.”
I think that’s part of what unhinged so many rational women during the Kavanaugh hearings. Feelings of outrage from the past welled up and walloped them.
Those intense feelings made it difficult to set aside all those past betrayals, particularly when they were young, and recognize facts.
I’ve been surprised at the things rational friends have said about those hearings–and I’m a woman.
I’m also five feet, nine inches tall and have seldom felt belittled or physically threatened by a man.
Men would do well not to jeer, make fun of or pour further salt into wounds that have never healed.
I’d advise Republicans to accept the fact–Judge Kavanaugh was confirmed–and move along. Expressing their feelings by gloating is only going to make it worse and widen the divide.

Well, except for like all but 3 times in the last 85 years. In fact there’s only been 3 times they didn’t lose seats, Roosevelt in 1934, Clinton in 1998, and Bush in 2002. Every other time, the party in charge losses seats. So either Trump is a time traveler with truly awesome powers, or once again your TDS is preventing your brain from working.

22 midterms since 1934. In 19 of the 22 midterms the party in charge lost seats in the House. 3 times they picked up a Senate seat or 2 while losing House seats. It’s the natural cycle of politics. The sweep, dubbed Operation MISafeKid and conducted on Sept. 26, involved the Detroit Missing Child Recovery Unit of the U.S. Marshals Sex Offender Investigations Branch coordinated with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development — Office of Inspector General, Michigan State Police and law enforcement officers from other Wayne County agencies.
The effort in particular was aimed at locating victims of sex trafficking.
During the one-day operation, out of 301 case files, 123 children were identified and recovered safely. “Three cases were identified as being possible sex trafficking cases, and one homeless teen was transported back to the command post after it was discovered that he had not had anything to eat in three days. He was then debriefed and turned over to Child Protective Services for aftercare,” the U.S. Marshals Service said in a news release.

You may have read about the researchers who sent fake papers on topics such as “the rape culture at dog parks” to academic journals, which published many of them. The purpose was to test the credulity and the scholarly rigor of the “critical constructivism” that prevails on universities today. That is, the postmodernist conviction that there is no objective truth, just power relationships that oppress women, LGBTs, racial minorities, etc. The researchers call the classes, majors, and scholarship in this vein “grievance studies” and demonstrate just how bogus it is.
I commend to you the article about their hoax papers that the researchers published telling about their prank and the conclusions they were able to draw from it.

As regards the “dog park” study, the title was “Human Reactions to Rape Culture and Queer Performativity in Urban Dog Parks in Portland, Oregon.”
Thesis: That dog parks are rape-condoning spaces and a place of rampant canine rape culture and systemic oppression against “the oppressed dog” through which human attitudes to both problems can be measured. This provides insight into training men out of the sexual violence and bigotry to which they are prone.
The method was supposedly to observe the behaviors of dogs in dog parks, documenting cases of “non-consensual” sex among the animals and noting “queer” behavior, as when dogs mount. . . well, you know.
