Prayer Requests 8-13-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 6

Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
    or discipline me in your wrath.
Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint;
    heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.
My soul is in deep anguish.
    How long, Lord, how long?

Turn, Lord, and deliver me;
    save me because of your unfailing love.
Among the dead no one proclaims your name.
    Who praises you from the grave?

I am worn out from my groaning.

   All night long I flood my bed with weeping
    and drench my couch with tears.
My eyes grow weak with sorrow;
    they fail because of all my foes.

Away from me, all you who do evil,
    for the Lord has heard my weeping.
The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;
    the Lord accepts my prayer.
10 All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish;
    they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.

  1. Prayer for anon and family, that He would ground anon in His Word and give them a powerful fresh start, rekindling and joining together in such a way that all will know that God has spoken.

  2. Those that we know who are fighting cancer. For me it is KBells, Lee, Leslie, and a young woman in South Florida (I don’t know her personally, but Mr. P is good friends with her two aunts).

    I would also appreciate prayers as I figure out what the next steps I need to take are.

  3. KBells Hubby here.

    I’m sorry to have to post this, but Kathy made it clear that I should do so. Wednesday morning, Kathy woke up throwing up blood. We went to the emergency room and determined she had an ulcer. The ulcer was repaired quickly, but she had lost so much blood her already diseased liver went into shock. She became unconscious. The doctors have told us with this insult, and the cancer, she will not survive. It breaks my heart to tell all of you this, but as I said, it was important to her. All of you were important to her. She often told me of the posts and the problems she encountered with you, her friends. You made her life better, as you do with all who post here.

    I will keep you updated. LOVE….Hubby (Tim)

  6. I am weeping over Kbells (Kathy). So sorry about what all your family has been through, Tim. She is precious to us all here. As my husband and I recently took I-20 from Atlanta to Texas, I was wishing I could do a meet up with her, but realized with her being fragile I should not even ask. I am praying for all of you as you go through this. Thank You for posting to let us know.

  9. Heavenly Father,

    We are all grieving this tragedy. My eyes are stinging from tears as I try in my feeble way to offer prayer. Please be with Kbells helping her through the passage to eternity with Jesus. Help her to realize love never dies and it’s bonds are so much stronger than physical death. I lift up Tim and their son for strength to go through these difficult moments. I do pray if there is any possibility for a miracle revival of Kbells earthly life that You could do that for her family especially. Lord, I just don’t know anything to say or do that can mitigate the way any of us feel about this. We are heartbroken. But I know You are near to those who feel broken and You bring divine strength into help when human strength fails. Please infuse Tim and all the family with Your divine strength. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  10. Grieving and crying along with the rest of you. How thoughtful she was to think to ask her husband to let us know. Praying for him and her son.

  11. Our pastor preached from Matthew 13 today on treasuring our spiritual treasures. At the end of the message, he spoke that one of the most beautiful things a person can see is a Christian on one’s deathbed, ready to meet Jesus, our greatest treasure.

    My tears flowed once again, thinking of our dear KBells.

    And our last hymn today was “There Is A Higher Throne.” I couldn’t sing most of it, being so choked up, and at the same time so grateful for our Lord’s wonderful gift of salvation.

    Continuing in prayer for Kathy, Tim and their son.

  12. My husband and I were out of town this weekend, and I came home to a note from Mumsee thoughtfully alerting me to check in here. Tim, our prayers are with you and your son. I met you and Kathy and “the Kid” in Nashville when you were there for work, and she and the Kid met my collie, Misten.

    I too wept on reading this update. May God comfort your hearts in the days ahead.
