Prayer Requests 3-4-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 4

Answer me when I call to you,
    my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
    have mercy on me and hear my prayer.

How long will you people turn my glory into shame?
    How long will you love delusions and seek false gods?
Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself;
    the Lord hears when I call to him.

Tremble and do not sin;
    when you are on your beds,
    search your hearts and be silent.
Offer the sacrifices of the righteous
    and trust in the Lord.

Many, Lord, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?”
    Let the light of your face shine on us.
Fill my heart with joy
    when their grain and new wine abound.

In peace I will lie down and sleep,
    for you alone, Lord,
    make me dwell in safety.

  1. This is the second day of ten days straight that I will be babysitting. The hours each day vary, with the shortest day being for half an hour up to an hour & a half or more (the time Nightingale gets out varies), but the other days will be several hours, ending with two full days next weekend. Please pray for patience, endurance, & a spirit of cooperation among all of us at home. 🙂 Thank you.

  2. Hubby and 3rd and 5th Arrows are on the road, as is 1st Arrow, coming in the opposite direction, to meet in the middle between here and there to switch cars. The last time 1st Arrow was home, his car developed a problem, so he took one of our cars home while his was getting repaired around this area. Today he’s getting his car back. Pray for safe travels for all (and thank God for clear skies today!), and that his car is good to go. It’s 16 years old, and he puts on a lot of miles. Thanks.

    Also, I’d appreciate prayers for stamina this afternoon. Once hubby and crew get home (early afternoon, probably), he wants to have a big clean-up around here, everyone working together. I like our times of whole-family chore time, but that is usually in the morning, followed by cognitive tasks, then a mid-afternoon rest period. (I tend to hit a slump at about 2 pm that lasts for a couple hours.) Today I’m going to be doing physical work during that time. Pray that I’ll have sufficient energy as I sort of flip my usual schedule. In fact, Kizzie’s “Please pray for patience, endurance, & a spirit of cooperation among all of us at home” is exactly what you can pray for us, too. 🙂

  3. Like Kizzie and 6, I also need extra energy today. I was awake very late last night and was awoken as husband and the dogs came scrabbling in after their morning walk/run and I couldn’t fall back asleep. I have lots of housework to do today as things have really gotten left due to my husband’s sickness and taking care of Kaitlyn (extra trips to town for visits, etc) and adding a new dog to the mix (he’s doing awesome, by the way). Thanks.

  4. Some unhelpful comments at the end of the article.
    People should be careful. I’m sure no ill was intended, but thoughtlessness can hurt.

  5. Chas – yes, I decided I wouldn’t read the comments after seeing what the one person said 😦

    But… she’s having chemo right now!! Her levels were good enough this morning that they felt it would be okay for her to have that. Imagine being happy that one GETS to have chemo!

  6. Sarah the Missionary’s baby Daniel was born today. He is 13.5 inches long and weighs 2 lbs 12 oz. He is doing “better than expected”. Sarah is tired, but is also doing well.

  7. They’re home, and things are proceeding well with work. I only had about a 5-minute part of the afternoon where I felt really tired, but soon got my second wind. Thanks much for the prayers!

  8. Just received a snapchat from Kaitlyn – she’s been discharged – not sure for how long or anything else, but she is definitely happy.

  9. Prayer for Malaysian pastor, Raymond Koh, kidnapped from his car Feb 13. Prayer for God’s peace with him, and for his family and friends. Prayer for his captors that he would be able to speak Truth to them and they would hear it.

  10. “comments” at the end of our stories were often shocking — I especially hated it when they took after someone I’d written about, who had been gracious enough to open up and tell their story …

    We eventually went to the system that required a FB connection to comment, at least the “anonymous” attacks died down a bit. 😦 People.

  11. Security alarms just went off at my husband’s workplace. He went flying out of here after he got the call. Prayers for his safety on the road and at the building and grounds. Thanks.

  12. All clear. Employees in the building after hours who don’t know the security system well enough to keep the alarms from tripping. Thank you for your prayers!
