Peter’s Pack of Pickled Pigskin Picks 2016-Week 14

Championship Week is here! No, not  the national championship, but the conference ones. Pick the winners for one last hurrah, folks. Ricky picked the tie breaker as the quasi Big 12 championship game, since that conference doesn’t have an actual championship game yet. But the title is on the line as the two top teams play each other. Make sure you guess the score of this one, as well as the winner.

Get your guesses in by Friday, 12/2 @ 7:00 P.M. EST.

  1. PAC 12: #8 Colorado vs. #4 Washington

  2. American Athletic: Temple @ #19 Navy

  3. Conference USA: Louisiana Tech @ Western Kentucky

  4. SEC: #1 Alabama vs.. #15 Florida

  5. Mountain West: San Diego State @ Wyoming

  6. ACC: #3 Clemson vs.. #23 Virginia Tech

  7. B1G Ten: #6 Wisconsin vs.. #7 Penn State

  8. MAC: #17 Western Michigan vs.. Ohio (NOT Ohio State)

  8. Um, how can I say this without seeming prideful? Oh, well. I am the winner again with 9 out of 10. I only missed the Navy game, which everyone else missed also. Here are our results:

I had 9; Kbells had 8; Travis, Ricky and Kevin 7 (hey, that rhymes); Chas, AJ and Tychicus 6; Mumsee 4.

    Game results:
Washington proved it’s worth over Colorado, 41-10
Navy lost in an upset to Temple 34-10
    W. Kentucky 58-44 over La. Tech in a basketball game played on a football field.
Bama 54-16 rolled over Florida (pun intended) and proved it deserves #1.
    San Diego 27-24 over Wyoming
Clemson scratched out a win over Va Tech 42-35.
Penn St showed it’s worthy of its Top 10 ranking 38-31 over Wisconsin in a big comeback. They were down by 21 point in the 2nd quarter.
Western Michigan beat U of Ohio 29-23 and remains as the only undefeated team (13-0), other than Alabama, in Division 1.
Kansas State booted the Horned Frogs back to Texas, 30-6.
Oklahoma lassoed the Cowboys of Oklahoma State 38-20.

So, are we going to continue with the Army-Navy game and the better bowl games? Or is there not enough interest. Let me know here and soon.

It’s been a fun season. I would post the over-all results, but we can all agree that Kbells dominated us. Maybe I’ll post them later when I have a few minutes to calculate them.
