  1. Dems at their fraudulent, astroturfing, underhanded best. It was all a set-up.

It’s a long video, about 15 minutes, but worth the time.

    With a LANGUAGE WARNING!!!!!!

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/10/17/exclusive-okeefe-video-sting-exposes-bird-dogging-democrats-effort-to-incite-violence-at-trump-rallies/

“Democrats have used trained provocateurs to instigate violence at Republican events nationwide throughout the 2016 election cycle, including at several Donald Trump rallies, using a tactic called “bird-dogging,” according to a new video investigation released Monday by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas.

The goal of “bird-dogging”: to create a sense of “anarchy” around Donald Trump that would undermine his political support. Often, the tactic uses the most vulnerable people — including the elderly and disabled — to maximize shock value.

O’Keefe’s extensive video investigation reveals that the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) are involved in “bird-dogging” and other provocative tactics through a web of consultants led by Robert Creamer, a veteran Chicago activist and convicted felon who is thought to have planned Democrats’ political strategy during the push for Obamacare in 2009 and 2010.

Creamer is also the co-founder of Democracy Partners, a consulting group that, according to Project Veritas videos, apparently contracts directly with the Hillary Clinton campaign and the DNC, and that works with an array of super PACs and consultants to organize, film and publicize their provocations.”

  2. From Drudge:
Gettysburg College freshman James Goodman began his first moments of higher education by being lectured by campus leaders about “toxic masculinity,” he tells The College Fix in an interview.

Students who “identify as male” were shown a docudrama film about masculinity. The film, titled “The Mask You Live In,” was part of the lessons warning students that the notion of masculinity comes with harmful side effects, he said.

I just hope his generation faces no foreign challenges.
    The world need men.
    The world needs women.
    They are not interchangeable.

  4. I seem to remember in my youth that the United States sometimes sent people to ensure that elections in Banana Republics were not completely corrupt. Now we have become that Republic and no matter who wins in November half of our population is going to feel disenfranchised. Have we set ourselves up for riots and worse. Can a President who is not liked by anyone on either side, and wins with well less than 50% of the vote really lead us? If you haven’t already today, it might be a good time to stop and pray for our nation that somehow it will all work out for the best.

You know how there is the question of “if you could talk to anyone in history or your deceased parent, etc”, I sure would love to talk to my daddy about what is going on right now. Mainly I would have to admit he was right and I was wrong. He used to tell me, “I’m not going to live to see it but in your lifetime and definitely in that baby’s life….” I am almost positive he warned me this was coming.

You know Michelle, it took a more than a year for my Disabled Veteran to get a stimulator put in his back to help control pain from an injury working as a corpsman but if he wanted a sex change he could go straight to the top of the waiting list. That has to make a lot of people who served feel just dandy. I try not to say too much. I don’t feel I deserve an opinion really because I was not married to him when he was active duty. I guess being able to stand and walk without pain isn’t as important has the pleasure of the kind of sex you want.

Ah, but lucky for her she’s running against Trump.

… If you think Clinton aides root for terrorist acts not to be committed by Muslims, lest political and policy complications ensue, you’re right.

Hillary aide Karen Finney sent John Podesta an e-mail in December 2015 about the San Bernardino shooting. She wrote “damn,” and forwarded a tweet from MSNBC journalist Chris Hayes relating that one of the shooters was named “Syed Farook.”

Podesta lamented that it wasn’t instead a journalist named Syed Farook reporting on a shooting by Chris Hayes, who has a much more convenient, Irish surname.

If you think Clinton aides sneer at conservative Catholics and consider them retrograde, you’re right. ……..

  9. One final debate, then it’s a race to the finish.

    One analyst’s view:

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2016/10/18/trump_misses_benchmarks_is_running_out_of_time_132081.html

    ______________________________

Can Donald Trump catch up to Hillary Clinton in the polls before Election Day?

I’ve asked that question a few times over the past couple months, and for much of August and September the answer has been a qualified yes. But recent events — a bad performance at the first presidential debate, the release of an interview showing Trump making lewd comments about women, and a middling second debate performance, to name a few — have widened Clinton’s lead. And based on quantitative polling benchmarks I developed in August, a Trump comeback is improbable. …

… Something unexpected could happen (e.g. Trump could shake off the new sexual assault allegations, have a great final debate performance and find some new damaging piece of information related to Clinton’s emails) that allows the Republican to make up ground faster than the majority of his predecessors. But Trump win scenarios often involve nearly every significant event over the next three weeks breaking his way, which is possible but not the most likely outcome.

Another Problem for Trump: The Cement Is Drying

These benchmarks show another troubling sign for the GOP nominee. Over the next few weeks, his ability to shift the polls toward him will likely decrease quickly. … About three weeks out from the election, the trend line starts to dip quickly. Between now and next Tuesday it will move from 3.4 points to three (drops like that usually take two or more weeks). And in the final week of an election, national polls usually don’t move more than two points. In other words, Trump’s ability to make up ground will decrease as the days tick down. …

  10. Time for Congress to use their oversight powers and hold some hearings on this. Let’s bring in these agents, put them under oath, and work on removing Comey from his position. He is obviously unfit to lead the FBI. His own agents say so.

    http://hotair.com/archives/2016/10/18/fbi-agents-turn-comey-stood-way/

“According to diGenova (in an interview with WMAL radio in Washington DC) the agents he spoke to think Comey is “a hack” and is “a dirty cop.”

This is a big development. This means there are some great, traditional, honest people inside the FBI and DOJ who will not let this stand. They know that Comey is a dirty cop and they are disgusted. Inside the bureau I had a meeting today with a senior former FBI agent who told me this exact story. That people are starting to talk. They’re calling their former friends outside the bureau asking for help. We were asked, today, to provide legal representation for people inside the bureau and we agreed to do so. And, to former agents who want to come forward to talk.

Comey thought this was going to go away. It is not. People inside the are furious. They are embarrassed. They feel they are being led by a hack. But, more than that, they think he’s a crook. They think he’s fundamentally dishonest. They have no confidence in him. The bureau, inside, right now… is a mess.

More agents are now coming forward and telling their stories.

Kerry Pickett at the Daily Caller has a couple of sources who detail everything that went wrong with Comey’s investigation:

“This is a textbook case where a grand jury should have been convened, but was not. That is appalling. We talk about it in the office and don’t know how Comey can keep going.

We didn’t search their house. We always search the house. The search should not just have been for private electronics, which contained classified material, but even for printouts of such material.

There should have been a complete search of their residence. That the FBI did not seize devices is unbelievable. The FBI even seizes devices that have been set on fire.””
    ———————–

Yet Comey did none of that and even told agents they were not to expand the investigation when other possible crimes came to light.

  12. Ricky,

We knew many had no standards when they didn’t keep their word and back Trump as the nominee, as they pledged they would. It happens in politics.

Bottom line, there are only 2 choices. Hillary or Trump. A vote for a campaign that can’t win, is still a vote for one or the other.

Some may choose to pretend otherwise, but that doesn’t make it so. The Never Trumpers know this too, but would rather give it to Hillary. It’s time to stop pretending this isn’t so, just admit it.

Oh that’s right, you can’t because then you lose the “high ground” you think you’re standing on if you admitted you were voting for a lying, cheating criminal, or at least hoping she won. You know a Hillary presidency would be disastrous, and would continue us on the route to further degradation of decency, and a further embrace of perversion. Things will get worse, and you know it, yet you refuse to acknowledge this. You’re too busy name calling and making fun of someone’s skin tone. That’s pretty low ground for someone who thinks they’re perched above the rest of us, because only they are smart enough Christians. Kinda makes what you say ring hollow.

And you’ll have to forgive the more pragmatic amongst us who already see this, and will vote accordingly because Clinton would be worse.

  13. The question for evangelical Trumpkins is the same question that faced Bill Clinton supporters like Lanny Davis 18 years ago: Will you continue to support a man who committed multiple sexual assaults?

Clinton was caught when a few of his victims talked to the press. Trump was caught, when in true idiotic Trump fashion, he bragged/confessed to a reporter while wearing a microphone. The ever-growing list of victims is only confirming the truthfulness of the moron’s confession.

  14. I am reading a book by William Koenig, Revealed. It’s about how Obama has deliberately set out to destroy the America we know. He has largely succeeded. Thanks to those who wouldn’t vote for a Mormon.
That aside, Koenig quotes a transsexual named Riki Wilchins in an article in “The Advocate”.

Titled, “We’ll win the Battle When the Binary Burns”, Wilchins says the real goal is to kill the notion of male and female altogether. The “binary” refers to gender distinction, and getting rid of the “heterobinary .structure” is the goal. Wilchins writes that the fact tjat we are arguing over male and female facilities is proof that we still have a long way to go.”

The battle lines are drawn. However, no matter how it looks, it will always be boy/girl, man/woman. It has been so forever in every culture. No matter what CNN and MSNBC say, it will always be that way.

  15. AJ, you were talking to Ricky, not to me, but I hope you don’t mind if I have replies to some of your comments, since the internet isn’t really a private conversation:

“We knew many had no standards when they didn’t keep their word and back Trump as the nominee, as they pledged they would. It happens in politics.”

Do you remember the biblical story of Jephthah, who pledged to sacrifice to the Lord whatever first came out of his tent . . . and when his daughter is the one who came out of the tent (apparently he was expecting a goat or a sheep), he “kept his word” and sacrificed her? Was he acting honorably? Do you really think that a promise is so binding that NOTHING is vile enough to make one say “I just can’t”? What if someone had promised Bill Clinton he’d support him on his second run, but that was before Monica Lewinsky and all that junk came out? What good is someone’s “backing” if it is there even if the guy he is backing turns out to be reprehensible? Is it more honorable to continue to support Hitler just because you said you would, or to admit you were wrong in making that promise? Even the marriage vow has an adultery clause!

“Bottom line, there are only 2 choices. Hillary or Trump. A vote for a campaign that can’t win, is still a vote for one or the other.”

No, sorry, it isn’t. It is a “no” vote. If someone asks you whether you want your wife to be killed by a tiger or a bear, are you “choosing” one or the other if you say, “No, don’t kill her at all”?

“Oh that’s right, you can’t because then you lose the “high ground” you think you’re standing on if you admitted you were voting for a lying, cheating criminal, or at least hoping he won.”

I changed one letter in this sentence, because it fits either way. Voting for either person is voting for a lying, cheating criminal. And if we can’t “call you on it” for deliberately voting yes for Trump, you can’t accuse us of “voting for a lying, cheating criminal” when we say we cannot in good conscience vote for either of the lying, cheating criminals. You’re welcome to claim the moral high ground if it will make you feel good. But the reality is this: There are no good options in this election. Anybody who is satisfied with either candidate has some problems or hasn’t looked very closely. There are no good major-party candidates, and no good choices here.

“You know a [Trump] presidency would be disastrous, and would continue us on the route to further degradation of decency, and a further embrace of perversion. Things will get worse, and you know it, yet you refuse to acknowledge this.”

Neither candidate stands for righteousness. Both are thoroughly wicked individuals. Our trust is not in the candidates; our trust is in the Lord. On this one, I am choosing to step away and trust in Him. Whether He will let our country descend into the chaos on whose brink we stand, I don’t know. But both candidates are bad–pretty equally bad, in my opinion, though in different ways–and our trust cannot be in either one.

  16. Chas, I have a hunch it’s only a very tiny percentage of people who refused to vote for Romney because he’s a Mormon. I know several people who voted third party believing him to be a RINO, but none who did so because he’s a Mormon.

  17. The really funny thing about this election is that I think most NeverTrumpers are actually hoping he wins. They (include me in this group) would never vote for him or her, but really look forward to saying, “See! We told you he might be worse than her.”

At the same time I think some reluctant Trump voters are rooting for her because they are afraid of hearing those words but would love to be able to say, “See what she is doing! You NeverTrumpers own this!”

On defense, I let my man get by me, LeBron blocks his shot, races down the floor and dunks again. Tychicus and I have seen a lot of that.

  19. Since the subject of wasting one’s vote on a third party candidate came up, I am sharing this article, along with the preface written by a friend (Kyle). . .

“This article is a good thorough explanation as to why a vote for a third-party or independent candidate is not a wasted or thrown away vote.

It is a bit long, so I will summarize it.

    1. Voting is state-by-state for the president. The winner is not necessarily the one who wins the most popular votes on the national level.

    2. Only in states where it is extremely close will the votes for third-party candidates change the outcome.

    3. Your lone vote is worth only a fraction of a percentage point even in the smallest states.

    4. Wasted votes include the extra votes that a candidate doesn’t need to win. If Trump wins a certain state by 60%, then 9% of the votes could be considered wasted votes, since he did not need them to win. That 9% could have voted for anyone else, and Trump still would have won.

    5. Wasted votes include all the votes for a losing candidate, so if Trump gets 30% of the votes in a certain state, all those votes are wasted votes. Everyone who voted for him could have voted for a third-party candidate, and Clinton would still have won.

    6. There are benefits to voting for a third party candidate: their party might qualify from campaign money next time around, the other parties will take notice and modify their platforms, the other parties will take notice and nominate a different sort of candidate next time around, local candidates from that party will have a better chance of winning, more people will join that party as it is seen to be more and more viable, more people will vote that way next time.

    7. Besides, it is always possible for a third-party candidate to win however improbable it is. It is definitely possible for them to change the outcome by winning one or two key states.

    8. Your vote is your voice, so the only wasted vote is a vote you give to a candidate that you don’t really support or believe in.”

  21. I can vote for Trump and trust in God to work out the details for good the same as those who vote for Hillary or the same as those who vote third party or choose to sit out this election. We don’t have the mind of God to know exactly what He is up to with this unusual election season. Trump was not my choice in the primary, I did my part to keep this from happening. I do feel that from my perspective that Clinton has done far more against our government than Trump has. I also do not think Bill Clinton deserves to live in the White House again. One last thought is that I am glad Chas lives in North Carolina.

  22. It does somewhat depend on the state you’re in. Swing states like Chas’ become tougher, decision-wise.

But I agree that either one or the other will win — so if I’m voting (which I usually am) I have no trouble voting for the best of those 2 choices, knowing that.

Trump was #17 on my list — no, probably he wasn’t even on the list in the primary season.

    But here we are.

And, as Janice said, the Invisible Hand will determine the outcome, always. And that’s a good thing, even when it “seems” bad.
