  1. Cars driving themselves.

Removing the ban from homosexuals giving blood.

The cake couple paying one hundred seventy thousand dollars for emotional damage to the homosexuals, for not baking them a cake. After the whoever emptied their bank accounts.

    The Syrian refugee question.

All those come to mind but not necessarily in that order for importance.

  2. Everyone doing what is right in their own eyes–the spirit of lawlessness rampant in my country, pretty much across the board. I’m particularly concerned that the rule of law is no longer obeyed and those who disobey it are no longer shunned. 😦

  3. This was a significant year in all of that mentioned above. 😦 😦 Could be seen as something of a turning point in history (esp from a biblical standpoint). Time — under God’s Providence — will tell.

  5. And God is good and God controls it all. Though we see short term loss, He provides long term victory. Though we would like to see our children and grandchildren and greatgrandchildren enjoy the freedom of this great land, it is more important that they enjoy the freedom of slavery to God.

  6. Granted, it has an agenda.

    What they say:

Gatestone Institute, a non-partisan, not-for-profit international policy council and think tank is dedicated to educating the public about what the mainstream media fails to report in promoting:

    Institutions of Democracy and the Rule of Law;
    Human Rights
    A free and strong economy
A military capable of ensuring peace at home and in the free world
    Energy independence
Ensuring the public stay informed of threats to our individual liberty, sovereignty and free speech.

Gatestone Institute conducts national and international conferences, briefings and events for its members and others, with world leaders, journalists and experts — analyzing, strategizing, and keeping them informed on current issues, and where possible recommending solutions.

  7. I read that on their site. Are they American? British? The board of Governors looks British but the first nation they mention is the US.

  8. In keeping with long standing Obama admin policy they do as they always do. News dump the big stuff on a long holiday weekend. Just like last week. And of course his compliant media friends will play along.

“The Federal Register will publish a new Department of Homeland Security regulation Thursday that instructs the State Department to give millions of employment authorization documents to aliens prior to authorizing green cards.

The new regulation was designed to override current visa caps outlined in the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952.

“This is a backdoor plan to circumvent Congress and bust immigration caps, executed during a time of record immigration, lowering wages and eliminating jobs for Americans,” an anonymous Senate staffer told the Washington Examiner.”

“President Barack Obama’s Department of Homeland Security plans to publish the proposed rule tomorrow, the last day of 2015.

The 181-page rule focuses primarily on giving work-permits to foreign college-grads who will compete against Americans for white collar jobs, despite the large number of American graduates now stuck in lower-wage positions and struggling to pay off college debts. The rule will also make each foreign graduate much cheaper for U.S. employers to hire than many U.S.-born college grads.

“Obama has gone the Full Monty to bust the immigration system,” says immigration lawyer John Miano. “What is going on is he is effectively giving Green Cards to people on H-1B visas who are unable to get Green Cards due to the [annual] quotas… it could be over 100,000.””

  9. And of course, nothing with these frauds is as they say. It ain’t just college grads who will benefit.

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/12/30/obamas-new-immigration-plan-offers-work-permits-foreigners-slated-deportation/

“President Barack Obama’s new 181-page plan to award work-permits to at least 100,000 foreign college-grads also contains a convoluted section that would also sneak work-permits to a huge range of foreign migrants – even after courts have formally ordered their repatriation.

In plain English, the section in the rule would automatically provide updated work-permits to 15 categories of migrants who are appealing judges’ deportation orders.

In plain economics, the rule would increase the number of foreign migrants in U.S. workplaces and impose wage-cutting job competition on ordinary blue-collar Americans so that university-trained, white-collar immigration lawyers could be paid billable-hours by their due-for-deportation, work-permit clients.

“Obama is transferring the jobs and salaries of Americans to foreign nationals, including illegal aliens… [who will be] licensed to take middle class jobs,” said one Hill staffer. The pending rule “highlights the unholy alliance between progressive Democrats, progressive Republicans, and the Obama administration… [so] when it comes to finding a job in America, being native-born in America is a disadvantage,” the staffer said.

There’s little chance that establishment GOP leaders will fight Obama’s pro-migrant, anti-American rule.

For example, House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)56%
supported an amnesty-and-cheap-labor bill in 2014, and he sneaked a new rule into the December 2016 omnibus bill that allows companies to bring in at least 100,000 extra foreign workers for jobs sought by 100,000 blue-collar Americans. Ryan defended his pink-slip plan, while he and other GOP and Democratic leaders also rejected proposed amendments to the omnibus by pro-American legislators that would have constricted Obama’s legal ability to add more foreign workers to the U.S. economy.”

Jobs Americans just won’t do? Hardly. More like jobs American companies won’t let American workers do, because they cost more to do it. H-2 Guest Worker Visa’s are like the rest of our visa system, corrupted.

With a LANGUAGE WARNING!!!! in the first paragraph.

    http://www.buzzfeed.com/jessicagarrison/all-you-americans-are-fired#.fhGYGa665

“Last year, thousands of American companies won permission to bring a total of more than 150,000 people into the country as legal guest workers for unskilled jobs, under a federal program that grants them temporary work permits known as H-2 visas. Officially, the guest workers were invited here to fill positions no Americans want: The program is not supposed to deprive any American of a job, and before a company wins approval for a single H-2 visa, it must attest that it has already made every effort to hire domestically. Many companies abide by the law and make good-faith efforts to employ Americans.

Yet a BuzzFeed News investigation, based on Labor Department records, court filings, more than 100 interviews, inspector general reports, and analyses of state and federal data, has found that many businesses go to extraordinary lengths to skirt the law, deliberately denying jobs to American workers so they can hire foreign workers on H-2 visas instead.

A previous BuzzFeed News report found that many of those foreign workers suffer a nightmare of abuse, deprived of their fair pay, imprisoned, starved, beaten, sexually assaulted, or threatened with deportation if they dare complain.

At the same time, companies across the country in a variety of industries have made it all but impossible for U.S. workers to learn about job openings that they are supposed to be given first crack at. When workers do find out, they are discouraged from applying. And if, against all odds, Americans actually get hired, they often are treated worse and paid less than foreign workers doing the same job, in order to drive the Americans to quit. Sometimes, as the government alleged happened at Hamilton Growers, employers comply with regulations by hiring Americans only to fire them en masse and hand over the work to foreign workers with H-2 visas.”

  10. In no particular order;

    ISIS/Boko Haram/Paris (both attacks)

Syrian et al refugee and migrant crisis

Middle East — Russia gets involved. Iran and Saudis fight proxy wars in Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, and Iraq. Netanyahu is reelected. Turks fight Kurds in Syria, Iraq and Turkey to bolster domestic politics. Iran signs nuclear deal

Europe — migrant crisis, Greece debt crisis, rise of both the new left and a fascist right. The centre left centre right grand coalition which has shared power since WWII breaks down.

US-Cuba thaw out relations. Soon Canadians will have to find a cheaper American free holiday.

US primary — Trump receives sustained interest from otherwise intelligent people and the media while Sanders raises more money than any candidate but receives very little media coverage. Interestingly Sanders polls the best against Trump.

Canadian election – Trudeau wins big federally, the NDP win in Alberta

Weather and climate — warmest year on on record again, its above zero here while my friend shovels snow in Mexico, it may reach 0 degrees celsius this weekend at the north pole, etc

…. I have suspected all along that Trump was drawing from independents and Democrats. This suggests several things. First, as the last sentence above indicates, a lot of Trump voters may not participate in Republican primary contests. Second, I suspect this research is already adding to the panic of the media and the Clinton campaign (but I repeat myself), who are clearly terrified of a candidate who won’t abide by the rules. Further down in the story you find that Trump appears to be strong in a number of areas that could take some states from Democrats next fall, such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada, and Florida. It looks like he might actually draw from folks previously known as “Reagan Democrats” who probably aren’t much impressed with GOP tax cut plans that mostly reward higher income groups. …
